Girls ride day!

After a few gray and rainy days, the sun finally came out just in time for the Girls Ride Day. Good music, free hot dogs, wakeskating/wakeboarding, and a picnic table full of girls…sounds like a fun-filled day, and it was. Several girls were introduced to the System 2.o for the first time and learned some new tricks. The best trick on the box won Cassandra Scott a Nike 6.0 backpack for a shuv-on, shuv-off the box, impressive. There was also a pair of Nike 6.0’s up for grabs, several Pro-Tec helmets, Skull Candy headphones, and a few pairs of Integrity lipsticks. Rockstar brought out the energy, with several cases of drinks. Big thanks to everyone who helped make this event happen!

Ladies, come hang out and ride with us at the Projects! Wakeboarders & wakeskaters welcome. We will be riding the System 2 from 12-5pm and grilling out.

Feel free to bring extra snacks to throw on the grill, floats, etc!

Skull Candy TV visits The Projects!

Monday was a perfect end to a three day weekend this last week. It was relaxing. Sure it was still windy, still a bit chilly, but the sun finally started to come out and the day was filled with good company. The Skull Candy wake team stopped by The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate Camp to session our Nike 6.0 System 2.0 park for an upcoming Skull CandyTV episode. The group consisted in Scott Byerly, Pat Panakos, Shawn Watson, Jeff McKee, Rob Jacques, Brandon Thomas, and George Daniels.

There were huge tricks thrown down on all of the park features, as well as huge pizzas consumed for lunch (2 lazy moon large’s, huge). This group was great to hang out with, while they weren’t riding, they were either kicking around a soccer ball as a group or catching up with each other. There was a real team feel with them, and their riding grew stronger with the support of the team. At the end of the day there were nothing but smiles and positive vibes among the group.

1st annual Projects Club fundraiser

Thanks to everyone that showed up this afternoon to support The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate camp! It was a great day filled with corn hole, hot dogs, drinks, music, give a ways, and more fun on the System 2.0 than you can shake a stick at! Despite the cold weather and harsh wind, everyone kept the action on the water hot. Two of the prizes went to the best trickery on the water, and another prize went out to the longest corn hole toss. Andrew Fortenberry and Kyle Hyams each walked away with a brand new pair of headphones courtesy of Skull Candy. Andrew won his through his superior wakeskating skills, and Guinness should of been here to log Kyle’s long shot during a game of extreme corn hole, but instead of a world record he walked away with some sweet new headphones. Charlie Kocur walked away with the top prize of the day, a new pair of shoes from Nike 6.0! What a lucky guy!

Thanks again to everyone involved that made it such a success, can’t wait to do it again!

Projects Club Fundraiser!

Whats up everybody! Welcome to the new and improved website created by the one and only Miss. Jen GilanFarr, we’ve done our fair share of clicking around, but if you see something weird let us know!

This Sunday, October 18th, The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate Camp is holding a fundraiser for our club! Starting at noon, for a small price of $10 you will receive unlimited rides on the System 2.0 until the sun goes down! As if that wasn’t already enough, we will also be grilling up some hot dogs, and giving away prizes from Nike 6.0, Slingshot, and Skull Candy. Slingshot will be bringing out some boards for you to demo, and DJ Droptop will be providing the music. Fixin’ to be a good time! So round up all your buddies and come join us for a day of fun!

New incline in the Nike 6.0 Park!

Thats right all you wakeskaters and wakeboarders, if you were lucky enough to grab a session this last weekend under the System 2.0 at The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate camp you would already know how fun this new incline is. The incline in the Nike 6.0 park was the favorite park feature for everyone that hit it. For those of you that missed out I snapped some pictures before she was broken in. The list of park features under the Nike 6.0 Park is now at three with the flat bar- manual pad, incline, and new 32 foot flat box. Remote brings us kickflips and tan lines

The Remote Wakeskate team stopped by The Projects Wakeskate and Wakeboard camp to do some winching and photo taking for their up coming catalog. Darren Manzari was there to document the shoot and put together a nice little piece of this nice little winch and System 2.0 session in the Nike 6.0 park.

Protest Boardwear visits The Projects

It is always fun having people visit from another country, and even better when it’s the crew from Protest Boardwear. Their wake team came to visit The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate Camp to get some shots for their upcoming catalog. Tearing up one thing after the next they showed expertise behind the boat, in the rail park and completely dominated the Nike 6.0 System 2.0 park. Maxine Sapulette was throwing double s-bends on the air tricks cable, Michael Timmers was ruling the boat lakes one at a time, and Sjors Van De Kerkhof hit the kicker bigger then I have ever seen anyone launch.

It was a pleasure having them visit; here are a few pictures from their stay.

Projects coaches are all over the place

If you were at The Projects wakeboard and wakeskate camp this last weekend, you probably noticed most of the coaches weren’t here. It was a big weekend for our coaches; Josh Kirby attended the Riverfest in Bullhead City, Arizona and returned with some entertaining stories. Rail riding extraordinaires Nate Perry and Marc Rossiter made a drive up to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Mastercraft Streetgrind and ended up taking the second and third place spots on the podium! Nate of Slingshot boards ended up taking second and Marc of Company boards ended up grabbing the third place spot.

Congrats to all the guys for representing The Projects as well as they did!

For those of you in Miami, Nate Perry and Yan Thebolt will be tearing up a rail jam in the parking lot of the Miami Dolphins stadium tonight (September 21st) starting at 4pm. Head down there and root on our Projects locals!

Hyperlite pro wakeskaters Brandon Thomas and Chris Kallas came out to The Projects Wakeboard and Wakeskate camp to ride in our Nike 6.0 System 2.0 park to show us how it’s done. The session started out like a normal wakeskate session, then BT decided to go for a stroll on the kayak and became something to ollie over. Patrick Weiland was here to film this System 2.0 extravaganza for us, enjoy.
