Wakeskate Camp

The Projects wakeskate camp was established in 1999 on 88 acres of true wakeskating paradise teaching wakeskater’s of all ages how to improve their skills and over all understanding of the sport. Our head coach Matt Hooker is a professional wakeskaters who has been riding and coaching for many years. Campers will be riding in the legendary Projects rail park where we have rails for all skill levels so weather your learning to hit your first rail or your nose sliding the hundred foot flat bar we got you covered. New to the Projects wakeskate camp is the System 2.0 with the full Nike 6.0 rail park a great learning tool for safe rail hits and quick trick repetition.

Day-to-Day Riding & Activities
Sunday. Campers arrive at the projects we will be doing airport pick ups at Orlando (MCO) Airport to pick up campers. Sunday night welcome dinner where we will discuss the camp schedule, rules and activities.
Monday through Friday will be filled with wakeskating mostly all day two sets in the morning and one in the afternoon or you can change it up depending on what your feeling that day. We will also be doing other fun activities threw out the day while we are not on the water.
We now do Winch Wednesday where we will be teaching the campers how to find and winch new spots. Campers will learn how to track down spots on the internet go to them decide if it is safe to hit, figuring out the best place to put the winch to get the best pull, how to properly steak your winch down etc… There is a lot that goes into winching that takes a long time of doing it to know how to have the most fun going to new spots and wakeskating them. Once you have learned these tricks of the trade wakeskating becomes endless to new things you can do as a wakeskater and is defiantly one of the most fun parts of the sport. You will be able to take your riding to a whole new level.
Saturday. Everyone goes home after a great week of wakeskating and having fun! We will offer a ride to the Orlando airport on Saturday when the best time is for everyone.
Coaching
Our coaching strategy is to master the basics first by completely understanding the basics new tricks come easier and faster, also with out injuring yourself. We break down tricks in steps so the rider can learn the correct way to learn new tricks for not only at The Projects but also for when they leave The Projects. This not only allows the rider to learn the new trick they been wanting to learn but also teaches them a couple other tricks that can open doors to new different tricks later on. Learning a new trick is tough to do and it will take more then one try to do it so there will be some falls involved so learning the proper safest way to fall is very important for not getting injured so you can try tricks for as long as you want with the risk of getting hurt being brought way down.
What to Bring & What we Offer
There will be the new 2012 Remote Wakeskate line at the camp for any camper to ride.
Campers should bring their wakeskate (if desired) wakeskate shoes, a helmet, life jacket, board shorts and a towel. Campers can also bring any movies they want or Xbox 360 games, we have a lot but the more the better!
Some spending money to go on trips to the movies, bowling, day trips to OWC this is all based on what everyone wants to do no camper has to go if they do not want to. We will also be selling Remote Wakeskates and gear at the camp.
